Michele Arthur, LCPC
Michele is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with many years of experience working with adults. She works with people experiencing anxiety, depression, codependency, and eating disorders. Michele also deals with those going through obsessive-compulsive disorders, self-harming, and self-esteem issues. She says that: “It takes courage to ask for help. I utilize a person-centered, collaborative approach to work in partnership with you to address these struggles.”
Michele is trained in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). This is a highly regarded intervention for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. Therapies that she also uses include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). The VA currently uses CPT to treat PTSD. She is also trained in Resource Development and Installation (RDI), and Alternative Bilateral Stimulation (ABS). They can be highly effective in treating stress, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD and other conditions. She also has a degree in theology, which helps her to integrate spirituality and psychology for people seeking a faith-based approach.
