Michele Arthur, LCPC
Whether you are working through grief, dealing with trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder, or are anxious or depressed, seeking help is the first step toward wholeness. It takes courage to ask for help. I use a person-centered, collaborative approach to work in partnership with you to address these struggles.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I counsel adults experiencing anxiety, depression, codependency, eating disorders, grief and loss, emotional dysregulation, trauma, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, self-harming, and self-esteem issues. In addition, my background is a unique blend of both a counseling and a theology degree. If you are seeking a faith-based perspective, this combination of training helps me to integrate spirituality and psychology.
In addition to using Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), I am also trained to process emotions using the techniques of EMDR, such as Resource Development and Installation (RDI) and Alternating Bilateral Stimulation (ABS). These techniques use sensory input, typically tactile, to assist with processing emotions and can be highly effective to treat stress, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress and other conditions.
Since you are considering counseling, I imagine you desire to make some changes in your life. I look forward to working with you and would be honored to accompany you during a portion of your journey.
