Dorothy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has a wide range of experiences working in hospital/residential, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. Dorothy works with both teens and adults dealing with issues ranging from stress and anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

She also specializes in self-esteem, self-injury behaviors, ADHD, school stressors, and addiction/substance abuse. She uses a variety of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Strength-Based Therapy.

Dorothy has a passion for helping clients come up with goals that are realistic and attainable. She thinks “life can be challenging at any stage. I believe it is very important to guide clients to help them understand where they have gotten stuck and provide a sense of direction and hope”. Dorothy creates a caring and safe space for clients to delve into difficult emotions and begin to understand themselves in a new way.
